BLOG POST

When the amazingly talented @dreaea was designing my website, we came across the challenge of creating a logo for my business.

Logos are pretty important when you are branding yourself and starting your own company. In one little drawing, your whole purpose and work need to be reflected.

I had envisioned something simple, cute, organic and clean. Something with my name “EM” and a circle. Something that would represent me, my business and my mission.

Drea drew a few ideas for me. Something with little circles, then just one bigger circle. Something with feathers, then no feather. Something turquoise, then no more turquoise.

I remember her texting me: ” Omg! I figured it out! Why were we breaking our heads over this! Look! What do you think of just simply this?”

Somehow, after so many attempts, that’s how we landed on this logo.

The circle. 💫

The circle is a universal symbol with extensive meaning. It represents the notions of totality, wholeness, original perfection, the Self, the infinite, eternity, timelessness, space, all cyclic movement, karma, Spirit, God (‘God is a circle whose centre is everywhere and whose circumference is nowhere’)

And then EM.

EM is the nickname people who know me, lovingly give me. In French it’s pronounced like “Aime”, from the verb “Aimer,” to love. Which I think is perfectly on point.

And from that logo, @chlobiebs came up with
[EM]ERGY | Energy Healing with Em 💛

As I try to embody love and compassion, in my life and in my business, this is how this logo came to be. To represent my mission and my work. To represent love in an infinite circle. Love at the center of it all.
